Recently, Cardi B filed a copyright claim featuring Kevin Michael Brophy’s tattoo. The claim was due to Kevin involved with the cover art of Cardi’s 2016 Gangsta B*tch Music Vol. 1 mixtape album.
TMZ reported that Cardi was sued in 2017 because a tattoo of her claim was featured in the 2016 rap mix where a model had a hammerhead tattoo.

The man’s face can not be seen on the cover as his face was hidden. A tiger and Serpent tattoo was printed on the man’s back.
Kevin claimed that the tattoo on the model was similar to his and he stated the cover was a “misappropriation of his likeness.”
During the trial, the prosecutor and the defense lawyers confirmed that the edited photo of body art that was featured on the cover was easily available on the internet.
Lawyers from Brophy’s side said Brophy is suffering from irrelevant claims. People think that the model on the cover is Brophy.
Kevin stated in court that the cover was completely against what he stood for his entire life.
“It looks like I’m giving or*l s*x to somebody that’s not my wife, somebody that’s not my partner, and an image that I never signed off on, ever. Being a father of two and a devoted husband and a man of faith as well, this goes against everything that I stand for, and I would never ever sign off on something like this.”
Brophy’s attorney told the Judge that the cover art released by Cardi B caused him to suffer from anxiety. His lawyer said that his character assassination is happening due to the cover and Kevin suffered $5 million worth of damages.
