T.I. and Killer Mike teamed with the Atlanta-based family enrichment center, PAWKids, to help those in need during the global pandemic. The duo set up shop in the parking lot of Bankhead Seafood on Wednesday (May 6) where they served up 500 meals to Atlanta residents.
Aside from dishing out free meals, Tip and Mike made home deliveries to several Atlanta families supplying them with two week’s worth of food and hygienic products. They also gave away $500 to several families.
“Just doing our lil part…And Happy to do it,” Tip wrote on Instagram on Thursday (May 7). “It’s a blessing to be a blessing to others. Always honor to work alongside solid people.”
As natives of Atlanta, Tip and Mike have been active in serving their hometown community for years now. Aside from working with Tip on philanthropic efforts, Mike has partnered with numerous charity organizations, including the Next Level Boys Academy, which is a mentoring program for males ages 11 through 25.
In 2019, the Georgia Senate honored T.I. for his commitment to bettering the city of Atlanta through activism and philanthropy. The Grammy winner, whose birth name is Clifford Harris, also spearheads the organizations, For the Love of Our Fathers and Harris Community Works.
